New Building Committee Update

In light of the favorable vote back in December, the New Building Committee

has continued to work by further developing the layout of the new building

and by making plans for additional parking.

The New Building Finance Committee is planning our stewardship campaign and is beginning to talk with some banks.

Some people have already begun to give financially to the new building

and others are welcomed to begin giving as well.

Please remember that your gifts should be over and above your regular giving.

Continue to pray for both of these committees

as they continue to move forward with this project.

PLEASE NOTE!

Carter 3D will be filming all regular church activities AM/PM, Sunday, February 26. Please don’t allow this to distract you from worship or Sunday School.

New Facilities Project Information

As you may know we are in the process of designing the upcoming new facilities here at Central. We wanted to make sure that everyone that may want to be involved in the project providing materials, equipment and furnishings as well as possible subcontracts for the various portions of the project would understand how they might be considered and possibly selected to work on the project. We would ask that you pursue your involvement through your normal business activities, as you are accustomed to doing. For those interested please contact Mike Gurosky with Myrick Gurosky and Associates, our Design-Build Project Manager. His number is 205-313-3037 or by email at mgurosky@mgandassociates.com. MG&A will be requesting and receiving pre-qualification information from those interested in order to make sure that the companies that participate with them on our project are both compatible and capable of providing the materials and work that are required. The time frame for submitting your company’s qualifications will end on March 1, 2012. You will be required to work under their contract arrangement to accomplish the project and you will be responsible for providing a proposal that is acceptable to them for their selection process. Please understand that it is your responsibility to pursue the project under normal channels in order to be considered for your services. We are providing this information to our church members so they will know who to contact and when the deadlines for the selection of contractors for bidding will end.
