Our Intergenerational Church

There’s a place for you and your family!

How Do I Meet People?

Our church is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can love God, serve others, and grow together at this church.

Small Groups
Often, small groups of people are better able to interact and learn about a topic than larger groups are. For that reason, our church has a great Sunday School community for classes of all ages.  Check out the Sunday School Page to find a class that interests you.
Children’s Ministry
In BIG Life‘s Children’s Ministry, we seek to teach kids to “Be Imitators of God, as beloved children (Eph. 5:1) through classes and programs at church that support family discipleship at home.  We believe parents are the God-ordained primary faith trainers of their children.  Our goal is to come alongside parents with tools that equip them and solid Scripture-based programs that support their efforts.
Music Ministry
Music is the expression of the soul in a way that speaks not only to the listener but to the one singing or playing.  Here at Central we value music and have several groups for all ages to be involved in for playing or singing song.  Praise Band, pianists, organists, orchestra, handbells, and children’s choirs to senior adult choirs.  The music ministry here at Central is such an important part of our worship and we are always inviting more to be a part.  If you would like to know more about our music ministries check out our music ministry page.
Central Teens
The Teen Ministry at Central Baptist serves to embody CBC’s love, grow, serve philosophy to Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers in Cumberland County. We do this by: Creating a welcoming community of teens that come together both in and outside the church, Growing through the teaching of scripture by applying it to the relevant issues that teens face, and Providing opportunities to be the hands and feet of Jesus by serving in Cumberland County and throughout the world. On Wednesday nights we have a worship service and small groups. On Sunday mornings, we meet for small groups and Sunday nights we meet to serve one another through various creative and serving ministries.
Women’s Group
Women’s groups give the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.
Men’s Group
Accountability among men is an act of integrity. Accountability is designed to protect, encourage, and develop men of all ages. Our men meet regularly the last Saturday of each month for Manning Up! to learn from and with each other. Come join us. Check the Schedule page for more information.

Married Couples
Even though marriage is one of the most important institutions, it is the one which is under the most attack–internally and externally. The church gives married couples the opportunity to meet for marriage classes each week.  Check out the Marriage & Family Ministry page for the latest information.
Over 50’s
Once you get past fifty, the fun has just begun. Whether retired, just plain tired, or active as ever, the 50+ Adult group of Central Baptist  provides refreshment, ministry, and times of valuable interaction. A mentoring ministry gives older believers a chance to meet with and help younger believers grow in Christ.
We love our group and it caters to the over 50 crowd in such a beautiful way. God uses people of all ages to bring glory to his Kingdom. If you fall into this group, get connected and enjoy the blessing of fellowshipping with folks that love the Lord.  Check out our 50+ Page and schedule. (coming soon)
Singles Ministry
Single men and women, ages 30 and older, who have never married, are divorced, or are widowed are a vital part of the Body of Christ.   Singles gather weekly for a time of Bible study, fellowship and prayer, and periodically to do recreational activities and retreats.  This eclectic group is designed to develop one spiritually, both individually and collectively, through an open discussion format with multifaceted learning style approaches and includes all levels of biblical knowledge and understanding.
The Single’s Ministry is not just a
Sunday School class but integrates all Singles within the church and community who may attend another class but desire to fellowship in small groups and/or activities.  Come as you are, leave with new friends and a deeper love for Jesus.
