Grateful Hearts Prayer Ministry

The mission of this prayer ministry is to empower women to pray with grateful hearts and effectively pray to the glory of Jesus Christ.

The verse for the ministry is Psalm 100:4-5,
"Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.  For the LORD is good;  His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations."

The purpose of the prayer ministry is to divert our focus from the temporal to the eternal.  Focusing on gratitude for the beauty and wonder all around us.  Focusing on God's greatness and noble character.  Focusing on what we have in Christ, which is grace in various forms.

We want to link our relationship with God to our relationship with others.  Allowing God's love to soften our hearts and flow through us to others.  Allowing God to grant us grace to strengthen and encourage others.  Allowing God's redemption of our lives to enable us to grant forgiveness to others and free our hearts of the bondage of bitterness and resentment.  As we open our hearts to listen and hear from God and receive His amazing love for us as individuals, we become filled with God's grace so it overflows to other people.

The Grateful Hearts Prayer Ministry may have four categories:

  • Relationship with God or Personal Prayer
    • May we view our relationship with God in the light of our gratitude for His provisions and in the light of our praise for His noble character.  In our relationship with God, we first seek Him.  We seek continual renewal and revival in our lives.  We seek guidance from the Holy Spirit.

  • Relationship with Others or Corporate Prayer
    • May we also view our relationships with other people in the light of our gratitude for each other and praise for how God designed the body of Christ to work together in unison.  In our relationships with other people, we seek continual reconciliation and peacemaking.  We seek to serve others, to promote others, and to love others.
