Constitution and Bylaws Proposal

The Church Council has approved a Constitution and Bylaws for our church and recommends that they be adopted in the November business meeting. If you would like to read a copy of the proposal before the meeting please contact the church office for a printed copy or go to the “members only” section of the church webpage.

Sunday School Teachers Needed

Central is blessed to be entrusted with God’s children. The Children’s Ministry is in need of:

1 Sunday School Teachers and 1 Helper for the following:

One year Olds

5 Helpers for the following classes:

     Babies (3)
     One Year Olds (1)
     Two Year Olds (1)

4 Children’s Church Teachers: (serving only 8 times a year)
 
One  for 4 yrs - 1st Grade
Three  for 2nd - 4th Grade

 

FINANCIAL PEACE UNIVERSITY is coming to Central Baptist!
This 13-week class featuring Bible-based principles for money management will meet in Fellowship Hall, 5:00-7:00 p.m. beginning

Sunday, August 15 and concludes Sunday, November 14. Please 

mark Event Response #1 on the Communication Slip giving your

Please join us for a bridal shower in honor of Michelle Rainey, daughter of King and Debbie Turnbull, on Saturday, August 28th at 10:30 a.m. in Fellowship Hall. She is registered at Kohl’s and Wal-Mart.

 

WOMEN’S MINISTRY

Ladies, join us as we hear about God’s plan for THE FRIENDSHIPS OF WOMEN. We will enjoy old friends, make new friends, laugh together, cry together and share our hearts. It’s a Fall Retreat you won’t want to miss at Cedar Lake Camp Oct. 1st and 2nd. We’ll meet at Central at 3:30 p.m. on

Friday and return by 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. $35 for 3 meals, room and board is due at registration. Sign up before Sept. 19th at the Women’s

Labor Day Sunday P.M. Alternative

Sunday, September 5, 6:00 p.m.

There will not be an evening service on September 5 to encourage families

to spend time together. For those who do not have family in town, there

will be an activity at church. We will show the movie Brig-A-Do and

provide chips and dip, popcorn and drinks. Please RSVP for this event by

marking Event Response #8 and provide your name and number attending.

Please RSVP by Sunday, August 29.

 
Several more volunteers are needed for the following Ministry Teams:
Homebound Visitation Team, The SMART Team (Small Maintenance
And Repair Team) and Welcome Desk Team. We urgently need more
help on these teams. Please contact Billy ASAP to volunteer or get
additional information about serving on these teams.
 
 
Gaither Homecoming Tour 2010 UTC McKenzie Arena, Chattanooga Saturday November 20th
Depart at 9:30 am, Return 10:00 pm
Tickets cost $30.00 which includes concert and transportation. You will need money for lunch and snacks at the arena. RSVP forms are available at the 50+ Ministry bulletin board. Due date August 29th
 
Ezra 7:10. We need a volunteer to lead a dear lady in simple Bible Study,
once a week for approximately 30 minutes. At present, a cult is doing
“Bible Study” with her. Please contact Ann Tinette Kapp (788-3728) for

need help with meals on a temporary basis. Please contact Patti Gowen (788-3310) to sign up or
